Gan Shan Station
For years people have been talking about the need for a restaurant to go into the former Gulf Station at 143 Charlotte Street. What this location desperately needed (and got) was a hip neighborhood restaurant centered on scrumptious food. Where tools used to hang in the former service station, there is now bench seating for communal tables and beyond the metal-covered pit where the car-lift hydraulics used to be anchored, there is now a light-filled prep room, lined with double-paned windows.
